About the Role
We are looking for experienced Process Engineers to join our Vascular Graft engineering team. In this role, you will support commercial manufacturing as part of a dynamic and collaborative environment. We are hiring 2 Vascular Graft Process Engineers. We are running a combined interview process for both positions.
This position will be located at our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Sustain existing manufacturing lines, specifically the maintenance of manufacturing fixtures and equipment, and have a willingness to spend time on the manufacturing floor (5-7 day operation).
- Ensure manufacturing processes run consistently and meet performance targets by reducing costs, maximizing efficiency, and minimizing manufacturing loss
- Improve manufacturing processes by leveraging lean principles, good manufacturing practices and six sigma methodologies to reduce costs through the elimination of waste in the value stream
- Lead engineering projects and track project progress, present periodic status updates to key stakeholders and works to resolve obstacles
- Design and build fixtures, equipment and tools as needed to increase efficiency, ergonomics, safety and quality
- Collaborate with other engineers to analyze manufacturing/assembly issues and identify, test and implement the most effective solutions in a timely manner
- Conduct equipment and process validations, qualifications and verifications
- Partner with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and other functional groups
- Promote a diverse, inclusive, and respectful team environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years experience in an engineering position supporting a manufacturing organization
- Demonstrated experience with continuous process improvement and applying lean manufacturing techniques
- Ability to apply engineering fundamentals and statistical tools to development, optimization, and troubleshooting activities
- Ability to priortize, plan, and drive multiple projects concurrently from development to completion against agreed upon timelines and deliverables
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team, including influencing across functions (i.e. engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, quality, etc.)
- Ability to identify critical issues and failure modes, creating a framework of action to address these issues and assess root cause including effective risk-based decision making
- Ability to document, communicate, and present technical bodies of work
- Ability to travel up to 5%
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a Regulated Industry and quality systems, documentation, and methodologies
- Proficient in CAD software, Servo and/or PLC applications
- Passionate about driving deep technical knowledge in manufacturing equipment and associated processes to excel in troubleshooting and continuous improvement
