About the Role
We are looking for a strategically-driven and execution-focused Regional Sales Operations Leader – APAC of Gore Medical Business to lead commercial operations across the region’s diverse markets (China, Taiwan, ASEAN, India, ANZ). This role reports directly to the APAC Regional Leader, serving as the regional commercial operations lead while working closely with global functional teams and other key APAC functional leaders to ensure consistency, synergy, excellence, and scalability.
You will be responsible for crafting and executing operational strategies, driving data-led decision-making, supporting both direct and distributor models, and ensuring salesforce productivity and commercial readiness across the region. A critical component of the role is the ability to scope and lead change initiatives aligned with regional business priorities, including transformation, and to embed structured change management practices (e.g., Kaizen) that support adoption, behavior change, and long-term impact.
This position would be based in Gore facility in Singapore (Preferred) or any office-based location in APAC.
Responsibilities
Regional Commercial Operations Strategy & Execution
- Design and execute a regional sales operations strategy tailored to APAC’s complex mix of market models, ensuring operational excellence and business agility
- Identify, scope, and lead operational change initiatives based on evolving commercial strategy (e.g., CRM transformation, distributor optimization, etc.)
- Apply structured change management methodologies (e.g. Kaizen) to support adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working. Serve as a change champion in cross-functional programs impacting the commercial organization
- Adopting, role model, and champion Gore Business System (GBS) to deliver data-driven insights and performance dashboards that support strategic decision-making by regional leadership
Global Collaboration & Functional Excellence
- Act as the APAC commercial operations lead, aligning regional needs with global strategies and functional initiatives
- Work closely with global operations, enablement, and analytics teams to deploy global programs and ensure APAC voice is incorporated into global planning
- Localize global tools and benchmark with MedTech industrial best practices to fit the operational realities of APAC markets
Distributor & Direct Sales Support
- Support distributor engagement models in China, Taiwan, India, and ASEAN, including performance analytics, governance tools, and channel strategy support
- Provide direct field support tools and operational infrastructure in markets like ANZ
People & Talent Strategy
- Build and lead a high-performing regional sales operations team and foster a collaborative regional sales operation leadership team including key sales operations leaders from major APAC markets
- Partner with regional and HR leaders to develop strategic talent pipelines, succession plans, and regional capability-building initiatives
- Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of core Gore people processes (e.g., P&D, C&C, Culture Survey, TD etc.) across APAC Sales Operations team
Required Qualifications
- More than 10 years of experience in sales/commercial operations or sales enablement within biopharma, MedTech and life sciences sectors
- Strong regional experience with exposure to China, Southeast Asia, ANZ, and India, including distributor and direct sales models, with country-level and/or pan-regional experience
- Understand business needs, identify interdependencies, reconcile trade-offs, and determine optimal solutions
- Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of driving operational improvements
- Proven experience leading complex change initiatives and managing cross-functional transformations
- Ability to articulate the impact of proposed decisions on revenue, cost, time, headcount, etc., within a highly matrix organizational setup and manages others’ expectations effectively to deliver business outcomes
- Ability to navigate uncertain situations and drive clarity and action
- Able to hold tension to surface conflicts and gain trust to enable effective challenge and resolution across diverse perspectives
- Demonstrate success in leading leaders, including effective use of talent-building processes and toolsEnhance team effectiveness by developing working relationships, improving understanding and alignment among members, and fostering communication and trust
- Ability to travel up to 30%
