About the Role
We are looking for an Accounting Processing Leader (f/m/d) to join our Financial Shared Services Center in Putzbrunn near Munich. In this role, you will be part of our Accounting Team with main focus on Intercompany Team and responsible for overseeing all intercompany accounting and reconciliation activities across the organization.
The position will be located at our facility in Putzbrunn near Munich, Bavaria, with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 3 associates
- Oversee the end-to-end intercompany accounting process for all entities, including invoicing, settlements, reconciliations, etc.
- Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of intercompany transactions in line with group policies and accounting standards
- Maintain and enhance intercompany accounting policies and procedures
- Drive standardization and automation of intercompany processes across entities and systems
- Partner with other functional teams to ensure alignment and accuracy
- Collaborate with tax and treasury teams to ensure proper documentation and transfer pricing compliance
- Support External audit activities for local statutory and US group audit
- Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements (e.g., within SAP, TM1, PowerBI)
- Support intercompany-related projects, such as system integrations, reorganizations, and new entity setups
Required Qualifications
- Business degree and/or professional accountancy qualification
- Relevant work experience (+8 years) in an international company
- Technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP / IFRS) is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, advanced Excel and experience working with ERP systems such as JD Edwards and SAP
- Leadership experience
- Keen to establish new processes
