About the Role

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant to join our Japan Accounting Team based in our Tokyo office. This role primarily involves accounting tasks related to accounts receivable (AR). Additionally, responsibilities include assisting with credit management and supporting cash flow operations. The products and customer base we support are diverse, and the transaction forms vary, requiring curiosity and a desire to acquire a broad range of knowledge. Participation in projects related to the implementation of SAP in collaboration with the Global/APAC Team is also expected.

Responsibilities

  • Overall accounting tasks related to AR using ERP and related systems (including invoice issuance)
  • Support for financial audits
  • Assistance with credit management
  • Support for treasury-related tasks (cash flow management, bank account administration, etc.)
  • Management of corporate card issuance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification/experience
  • More than 3 years of experience in accounting/finance field
  • Experience using ERP systems and MS Office
  • English proficiency sufficient to participate in global projects
  • Cooperative nature to build good relationships with team members and related departments
  • Flexibility to adapt to new systems/process changes and a desire to actively learn them

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience using JD Edwards and SAP
  • Work experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience in standardizing and streamlining processes
