About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Solution Architect/Team Lead to join our dynamic GMDIT team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will be accountable for designing the overall structure and organization of an organization's data assets within an Azure based modern data estate. You’ll be responsible for defining how data is stored, organized, integrated, and accessed within an organization. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders from various departments to understand their data needs and requirements, while leading the team of GM associates located in the GCC working in Data & Analytics. You should have a good understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and database design principles to ensure that the systems created are scalable, reliable, secure and efficient.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team of GM associates in GCC for Data & Analytics (D&A) needs while developing and coordinating team activities with the D&A Leader.
  • Work across business stakeholders and technical teams to create solution architectures that align the technical solution to the business objectives.
  • Oversee the development, testing and deployment of solutions for processing and analyzing data using Azure services including Databricks.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of architecture designs and processes inclusive of reference architecture, data models, patterns, best practices, and guidance.
  • Identify the need for, oversee the creation of, and monitor the alignment to applicable standards and principles.
  • Oversee the performance monitoring and optimization of data pipelines, while ensuring chosen solutions implement applicable security measures (e.g., encryption, access controls, auditing) and regional compliance rules.
  • Implement data governance to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance within and across pipelines.
  • Within a data catalog maintain metadata to describe data models, their structures, and their semantics.
  • Participate in, or lead when needed, governance processes including intake, prioritization, and root cause analysis.
  • Keep up to date with the latest data-related technologies, trends, and industry standards to be able to provide recommendations to enhance analytics capabilities on Azure.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science or related area (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 6+ years of industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Azure, Databricks environment, as well as Fabric (PBI).
  • Strong understanding of data structures, data architecture, modeling, governance & management.
  • Effective communication with an ability to collaborate with global team members and business stakeholders, with ability to translate business objectives into technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and systems thinking.
  • Travel ~10%.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in Azure DevOps, GitHub.
  • Working Experience in SDLC Process.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and tools.
