About the Role

We are looking for an SAP Applications Developer to join our ETO Development & Integrations team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will design, develop, customize, enhance, and support SAP applications and modules that enable reliable business processes and operational efficiency. You will work closely with functional analysts, business users, and technical teams to translate business requirements, production support needs, and enhancement requests into stable, scalable technical solutions. Responsibilities

• Application Development: Design, develop, customize, and maintain SAP applications and modules to support business requirements, operational efficiency, and long-term system reliability.
• Application Support: Provide application management support for SAP solutions, including incident resolution, service request fulfillment, defect correction, and production issue troubleshooting.
• Technical Design: Analyze business processes, production issues, and enhancement requests to create clear technical specifications, solution designs, and development estimates.
• Enhancement Delivery: Implement SAP enhancements that improve business processes, user experience, automation, system performance, and supportability.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct unit, integration, regression, and performance testing to ensure stable, secure, and high-quality SAP application changes.
• Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Identify root causes, deliver timely technical fixes, and recommend improvements that reduce recurring incidents and business disruption.
• Collaboration: Work closely with functional analysts, business users, and other technical teams to clarify requirements, gather feedback, prioritize support needs, and deliver solutions aligned with business priorities.
• Documentation: Create and maintain accurate documentation for technical designs, code changes, support procedures, testing outcomes, and enhancement delivery.
• Development Standards: Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards, change management practices, testing discipline, and supportability expectations.
• Integration Support: Support integration-related troubleshooting and enhancement activities as needed, including application programming interfaces, data mapping, and interface issue resolution.

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of SAP architecture, application development capabilities, and business processes, with 5-7+ years of SAP application development, application management support, or production support experience.
• Strong experience troubleshooting SAP application issues, performing root-cause analysis, and delivering stable technical fixes in a production support environment.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing SAP enhancements that support business process improvement, automation, user experience, and system performance.
• Strong technical skills in SAP application development technologies, including ABAP, ABAP Objects, Core Data Services views, OData services, forms, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and workflows.
• Experience with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, JavaScript, and user interface development or support for SAP applications.
• Ability to understand business processes and translate functional requirements, production issues, and enhancement requests into clear technical specifications, solution designs, and development estimates.
• Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform capabilities, such as ABAP Cloud, Cloud Application Programming model, SAP Build, application extensions, and integration services.
• Knowledge of application development patterns and best practices, including code quality, performance optimization, security, testing, documentation, and supportability.
• Ability to follow development standards, change management practices, testing discipline, documentation expectations, and operational support processes.
• Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, explain technical concepts, and coordinate support or enhancement activities; ability to travel approximately 10%.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing, medical devices, life sciences, or similarly regulated industries is a strong positive.
• Experience working in an international, multi-cultural environment considered a plus.
• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform capabilities such as SAP Build, Process Automation, Joule, AI agents, application extensions, or integration services considered a plus.
