About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Solutions Architect - STP to join our GMDIT team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our end-to-end SAP Source-to-Pay (STP) solutions. This pivotal role involves translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant SAP architectures, driving process standardization and innovation across our global procurement and finance operations. Responsibilities

•    Solution Architecture & Design: Architect and design robust SAP S/4HANA solutions for the entire Source-to-Pay lifecycle, including indirect procurement, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, invoice processing, and payments.
•    Business Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, the SAP Business Center of Excellence (CoE), and cross-functional teams (Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics) to gather requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, and ensure solution alignment with business objectives.
•    System Integration: Ensure seamless integration between SAP modules (MM, FI-AP, etc.) and other enterprise systems, including third-party procurement tools like SAP Ariba, OpenText VIM, and various middleware solutions (SAP PI/PO, CPI, APIs).
•    Implementation Leadership: Lead SAP implementation projects from blueprinting through deployment, including configuration, functional specifications, testing strategy (unit, integration, UAT), and post-go-live hyper-care support.
•    Governance & Compliance: Define and enforce architectural rules, principles, and guidelines, ensuring all solutions adhere to regulatory and internal control frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR, GxP).
•    Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest SAP S/4HANA innovations (e.g., Fiori apps, AI-driven finance tools) and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement and automation within the STP domain.
•    Documentation & Training: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture blueprints, technical specifications, and process flows; providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members and support end-user training efforts where needed.
•    Remain current with all relevant technologies and best practices, contributing new ideas to the team where needed.

 

Required Qualifications

•    Minimum of 8+ years of hands-on SAP experience, with at least 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations focused specifically on STP or Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
•    Deep expertise in SAP modules related to procurement and finance, including SAP Materials Management (MM) and Financial Accounting - Accounts Payable (FI-AP).
•    Strong understanding of end-to-end Source-to-Pay business processes, including strategic sourcing, contract management, purchasing, goods receipt, invoice management, and payments.
•    Experience with SAP Ariba and OpenText VIM solutions; SAP Certification in MM or FI/CO is a strong advantage.
•    Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence), as well as experience in regulated industries (e.g., life sciences) with strong System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) knowledge.
•    Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with business users and technical teams alike, with ability to quickly identify and troubleshoot configuration issues where needed.
•    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, experience with creating presentations for complex SAP design topics.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration abilities (with both technical and non-technical audiences), including demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively across diverse stakeholders.
•    Travel ~10%.

 

Desired Qualifications

•    Experience with Manufacturing, Medical Devices, Life Sciences industry is a strong positive.
•    Experience working in an international multi-cultural environment considered a plus.
