About the Role

We are looking for an SAP SuccessFactors Configuration Specialist – Compensation & Variable Pay to join our Human Resources Digital Services & Products team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for the ongoing support and stability of compensation and incentive programs. You will ensure configurations remain accurate and reliable across annual and off‑cycle processes, while supporting approved enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with HR process and business stakeholders, translating defined business needs into scalable SAP SuccessFactors Compensation & Variable Pay functional designs and configurations.

Responsibilities

  • Sustain and support SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay modules in a production environment
  • Provide system support for both annual and off-cycle compensation planning activities
  • Provide tier-2/3 support for Compensation & Variable Pay system issues; support incident resolution, root‑cause analysis, and defect remediation
  • Validate eligibility rules, calculations, and worksheets
  • Partner with Employee Central and Payroll to validate data impacts
  • Execute testing for fixes, releases, and enhancements
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of configuration workbooks, functional specifications, process flows, and user guides for reference and audit purposes.
  • Support system upgrades and participate in release activities
  • Adjust configurations for new releases, patches, and updates, implementing optimizations and enhancements as appropriate
  • Evaluate new module capabilities and assess requested changes to recommend improvements that enhance user experience and process efficiency
  • Develop training materials, job aids, and documentation, as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of hands-on SAP SuccessFactors experience, with deep expertise in Compensation and Variable Pay modules.
  • SAP SuccessFactors Certification in Compensation and Variable Pay with strong understanding of Compensation and Variable Pay processes and their integration with other SuccessFactors modules.
  • Strong understanding of compensation and incentive processes with experience supporting enterprise compensation cycles.
  • Proven expertise in SAP configuration tools, techniques, and best practices.
  • Proven experience supporting SAP implementations and post go-live environments.‑go‑live environments
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve configuration issues.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills; ability to create clear documentation and deliver presentations on complex SAP design topics.
  • Ability to work effectively with global teams, coordinating work delivery between onsite and offshore locations.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices for SAP SuccessFactors configuration and optimization.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with multiple end-to-end SAP SuccessFactors implementation projects, including global rollouts.
  • Experience supporting compensation programs with global payroll dependencies.
