About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP UX Developer to join our GMDIT team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will responsible for designing, improving, and governing the user experience across SAP solutions, ensuring business processes are intuitive, efficient, and aligned with SAP best practices.  In addition, this role bridges business users, functional teams, and technical teams to deliver usable, consistent, and scalable SAP experiences. This is an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team, expand your expertise across SAP technologies, and help shape our digital transformation journey.

Responsibilities

•    Define and promote user-centered design principles for SAP (S/4HANA, Fiori, embedded apps), in addition to designing end-to-end user journeys across SAP processes (OTC, STP Source-to-Pay, Plan-to-make etc.) which ensure appropriate translation of business requirements into Fiori app designs, roles, and layouts while maintaining consistency with SAP Fiori Design Guidelines.
•    Lead or support Fiori app selection, activation, and role mapping, including designing Fiori spaces, pages, and catalogs aligned to user roles.
•    Identify opportunities to replace GUI transactions with standard Fiori apps, as well as collaborate with developers on custom Fiori/UI5 designs (when required).
•    Partner with SAP functional teams (SD, MM, PP, WM/EWM, FI, etc.) to simplify screens, reduce clicks, and improve usability without changing core logic.
•    Facilitate UX workshops with business users, while also validating designs through user feedback and usability testing.
•    Establish and enforce SAP UX standards and patterns, while ensure UX consistency across releases and regions (template-based approach).
•    Review and approve UX changes to prevent fragmentation, while supporting accessibility, localization, and compliance requirements.
•    Support creation of role-based training materials and improve adoption through better UX, not workarounds.
•    Help reduce training effort by designing intuitive flows.
•    Remain current with all relevant technologies and best practices, contributing new ideas to the team where needed.

Required Qualifications

•    Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori (8+ years of SAP experience in SAP greenfield or large transformations considered a plus).
•    Understanding of SAP business processes (OTC, P2P, Manufacturing, Inventory).
•    Experience with Fiori Launchpad, Spaces & Pages, Catalogs & Roles.
•    Familiarity with SAP GUI vs Fiori coexistence.
•    UX & Design Skills.
•    Demonstrated ability to reduce SAP GUI dependency.
•    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, experience with creating presentations for complex SAP design topics.
•    Knowledge of the SAP environment (S/4HANA preferred) and its various modules, data dictionary and database management principles, including familiarity with industry best practices for SAP configuration.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration abilities (with both technical and non-technical audiences), including demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively across diverse stakeholders.
•    Travel ~10%.

Desired Qualifications

•    SAP UI5 / Fiori Elements exposure, as well as SAP Screen Personas.
•    SAP BTP UX services, in addition to knowledge of accessibility standards.
•    Experience in regulated or audit-heavy environments (SOX, GxP).
