About the Role

We are looking for a Clinical Operations Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will support study teams and the broader Clinical Affairs function by enabling performance tracking, data-driven continuous improvement, and portfolio transparency to ultimately support the successful execution of clinical trials. This position partners with Clinical Affairs leadership, the Medical Data Science & Engineering Team, and cross-functional study teams and requires curiosity, initiative, and the ability to co-create solutions by translating ambiguous needs into actionable metrics, tools, and insights.

 

This is a remote position, and you can work from home in most locations within the United States. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Support clinical study teams with performance tracking by enabling monitoring of metrics such as enrollment, site activation, cycle times, and protocol deviations.
  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards, reporting tools, and ad-hoc analyses (e.g., in Power BI, Excel) to support trial execution, leadership visibility, and portfolio decision-making.
  • Generate and communicate insights from operational data to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership to guide strategic and tactical decision-making.
  • Support operational efficiency across the function by identifying bottlenecks, standardizing processes, and developing scalable solutions.
  • Connect and transform data from multiple systems (e.g., CTMS, EDC, eTMF, SharePoint, Excel) to enable integrated analysis and real-time portfolio insights.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to co-create reporting requirements and metrics, even when needs are initially ambiguous or loosely defined.
  • Contribute to the standardization and improvement of documentation processes supporting clinical trials and operational workflows, including data integrity and completeness checks across platforms.
  • Leverage Microsoft Power Platform tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) to automate workflows and enhance data access and visibility.
  • Contribute to system implementations, upgrades, and data governance initiatives that enhance operational transparency and scalability.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of data analytics experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps) to support data visualization, process automation, and workflow efficiency
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic understanding of data engineering concepts such as data integration, ETL processes, and system connectivity
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working with structured and unstructured data across multiple platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders to define ambiguous needs, co-create requirements, and develop metrics or reporting solutions
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Desired Qualifications

  • Clinical research experience
  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, data science, public health, business or a related field

 

This position offers a remote work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed. Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore’s work arrangement policies.
