About the Role

The Data Operations Specialist is responsible for all aspects of supply chain software as it pertains to part number creation and maintenance. They ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility, collaborating with Technical, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Planning teams to implement data solutions and resolve data-related issues. Data Operations Specialists bridge the gap between data collection and data utilization, ensuring that data is reliable, accessible, and within our data governance standards, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

 

This role is fixed-term for 12 months. 

Responsibilities

  • Support daily data maintenance and transactional support across multiple software applications (ERP and Manufacturing Systems)
  • Influence Associate accountability for data standards
  • Work with Product owners to understand data needs
  • Understand and work with the GPS Quality and Document Control System (QSI)
  • Work with SAP and MES system to add, change, or configure parts
  • Partner with Data Stewards to understand data governance, maintain data standards, and sustain data health through integrity monitoring and yearly data model review
  • Partner with Data and Process team to translate manufacturing functional knowledge into practical system designs
  • Partner with Data and process teams to serve as divisional advocates for business process and data changes, including impact/gap analysis
  • Review data integrity across systems and edit or correct as necessary

 

Required Qualifications

  • Completed education in technical or commercial field (alternatively: professional experience in data or product management)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Basic knowledge of SAP/MDG or experience with comparable data management tools
  • High level of accuracy and a structured working style
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in special cable manufacturing area is an advantage
  • Fluent in German
  • English is a plus

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP master data processes
  • Understanding of configuration logic
  • Experience within the Gore environment is an advantage
