About the Role
We are looking for a Product Domain Data Steward to join our team. In this role, you will work to ensure compliance with data standards, policies and data management best practices supporting Digital Transformation initiatives and projects, and to ensure data is a high-quality Gore asset. You will collaborate with Gore Performance Solutions businesses, SAP Implementation Team members, Transformation Team members, Data Specialists, and other Gore Performance Solutions Data Steward team members.
This position will be located at our facility in Newark, Delware, with possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, enrich, and migrate Product Domain data for the Gore Performance Solutions (GPS) SAP implementation, in partnership with Value Streams, Transformation teams, and functional subject matter experts (SMEs)
- Support the design of the data management processes, rules and controls for Product related data to ensure the quality and trustworthiness of the data
- Construct SAP data objects (e.g., facilitating data domain extraction and construction, comparing to agreed standards, and identifying gaps and/or deficiencies)
- Support data migration activities (e.g., data mapping and migration of data objects, tests/trial loads, coordinating with end users to perform business data validation, performing user acceptance data domain testing, and facilitating corrective actions during and following cut over)
- Identify, manage, and mitigate data quality risks related to GPS Product data by developing, implementing, and complying with data standards and policies
- Lead, participate in, and utilize data governance processes, and execute data quality processes in partnership with appropriate stakeholders
- Provide data expertise and guidance to projects pertaining to GPS usage of Master, Shared, and Single Application (including transactional) Data for the Product domain
- Identify stakeholders for Product data in GPS and communicate with them to promote best practices for data management, and to share changes in data policies, standards, and processes
- Partner with stakeholders throughout GPS to guide and train data specialists and Associates that generate data
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in information systems, data management, data and analytics disciplines, or data governance
- Demonstrated experience working with supply chain data (e.g., enterprise resource planning, manufacturing execution system, logistics/warehouse management, product lifecycle management, product information management data, quality management data, or similar)
- Functional knowledge of end-to-end processes relevant to supply chain data
- Experience working across multiple projects and programs to identify and resolve conflicts relating to data, and to understand the broad impact of data related decisions
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence and lead change, and manage and resolve conflict across teams and functions
- Proven track record of delivering results and overcoming obstacles
- Expertise in creating or manipulating large, complex data tables in Excel or similar tools
- Ability to travel up to 15%
Desired Qualifications
- Technical working experience with core enterprise software applications (e.g., SAP GUI, SAP ABAP, SAP BODS)
- Knowledge of Gore Performance Solutions' current processes, data, and supporting systems
- Experience in BI Tools, Analytical tools or languages (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau, DataBricks, etc.) conducting data preparation, extraction, transformation, loads, and/or analysis with scripting or workflows
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed. Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore’s work arrangement policies.
