About the Role

We are looking for a Quality Technician (f/m/d) to join our team. In this role, you will facilitate timely execution of actions within our Quality Management processes, including CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions), Customer Concerns and Document Control, while ensuring good data integrity. You will also enable the execution of critical Quality Management Systems processes to support the Dundee Manufacturing team.

 

This position will be located at our Gore Dundee facility in Scotland with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective and timely execution of CAPA and Customer Concerns using our Quality databases
  • Establish and / or improve quantitative measurements and techniques for measuring quality and ensure data integrity, completeness of information, adequate system processing on time and escalate as required
  • Handle / organise material, paperwork and databases in relation to supplier non-conformances (NCMRs)
  • Schedule Material Review Board (MRB) meetings, capture actions and minutes
  • Drive resolution and conclusion according to documented processes by acting as customer complaint coordinator
  • Create and maintain quality metrics package and KPI dashboard
  • Collate data and communicate plant-wide quality statistics
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities within these processes
  • Expedite action completion within the Document Control database

Required Qualifications

  • Two or more years work experience, preferably in the Aerospace industry
  • Experience in following a disciplined process, able to value process adherence
  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001 or comparable quality standards
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and digital tools such as Outlook, Teams and databases, and demonstrated ability to quickly learn and use Quality management and other software systems
  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks and respond to requests in a timely manner
  • Collaborate as an integral member of the quality team, handling a wide range of tasks and completing in an accurate, timely, self-managed manner
  • Demonstrated listening skills, effective verbal communication and accomplished written communication skills
  • Proactive and flexible approach to daily commitments and high attention to detail
  • Trustworthy, self-motivated and self-sufficient

Desired Qualifications

  • Possess well developed organisation, coordination, influencing, prioritisation, communication and writing skills
  • Passion for the right first-time methodology and maintaining a high level of product quality, as well as a continuous improvement mindset

 

This position requires access to information or items that are export controlled under U.S. law. Any offer will be conditioned upon Gore obtaining export control authorization for the candidate under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), as required by the position.
