About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Analyst in the Performance and Solutions Division (PSD) to support Division Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities and specifically supporting General & Administrative (G&A) function investments and teams. This is an exciting opportunity with significant growth potential within a highly dynamic business.

 

This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.

 

Pay and Benefits:

  • $81,000 - $104,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial support and analysis for the G&A functional leadership and teams within PSD, supporting investment decision making and tracking results on key initiatives
  • Manage key processes to support the accurate planning, forecasting, and reporting of headcount by Function and Business Group across all of PSD including support of the time-tracking and Allocation processes
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements at the Division level for PSD, collaborating with Accounting and IT as issues arise with monthly reporting mechanics and liaising with Enterprise reporting Associates
  • Facilitate the annual and quarterly forecast for the G&A functions as well coordinating the full P&L submission of the Division level investments (non-allocated) with other Functional Analysts
  • Proactively challenge existing finance processes & practices, and drive process automation and improvement
  • Provide back-up support to the PSD analyst community for planning and reporting systems

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or business and minimum 2 years of accounting, finance and/or business analysis experience
  • COGNOS, TM1 or similar financial system tools, and experience with ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Strong excel skills with a passion to automate and improve processes
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and integrate across project, functional, and business leadership teams
  • Ability & willingness to learn and build a network of associates across the Enterprise and PSD
  • Ability to travel 5%

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience leveraging digital capabilities to support finance or accounting processes
  • Experience in a global manufacturing organization

 

 

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed.  Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore’s work arrangement policies.
