About the Role

We are looking for a Plant Infrastructure Professional to join our Facility Team. In this role, you will be responsible for mechanical repairs, maintenance, design, installation, and troubleshooting on all types of facility-oriented equipment (air handlers, chillers, pumps, compressors, oxidizers, wastewater systems, bulk fluid tanks and distribution, boilers, etc.). The team is seeking a skilled, self-motivated, service-oriented individual who will play a key role in supporting reliable operations. 

 

This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland. 

 

Pay and Benefits:

  • $40 - $56 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, installation, startup, validation and troubleshooting of facility equipment.
  • Perform various work orders and preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, often working across mechanical and electrical trades and documenting this work electronically within our Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Provide daily equipment maintenance support for all facility operations including HVAC equipment, Pollution control, Water, Compressed air, etc.
  • Apply formal problem-solving techniques to troubleshoot, determine root cause, and develop and implement corrective and preventative action plans.
  • Self-Perform, interface, and direct vendors and service providers to complete required work, verify that work was performed satisfactorily, and provide any required electronic documentation of work performed in our CMMS system.
  • Partnership with team members, support equipment reviews and providing feedback to ensure design is meeting all applicable codes, specifications, and customer requirements with a specific eye on long-term cost of ownership and maintainability of these assets.
  • Providing off shift and weekend support as part of a Regional On-Call rotation schedule and supporting two annual shutdowns across weekends and extended hours.
  • Perform and manage needed general building maintenance.
  • Maintain compliance with jurisdiction ordinance and codes.

Required Qualifications

  • Journey level mechanical skills with minimum 5 years hands-on experience in an industrial production facility.
  • Demonstrated competency in the use of a multi-meter. Ability to troubleshoot and repair both low voltage and three phase electrical circuits up to 480V.
  • Experience with facility systems including ventilation, steam, compressed air, hot and chilled water, and water treatments systems.
  • Experience utilizing a Building Automation System (Trane, Andover, or like).
  • Ability to effectively and proactively communicate both verbally and in writing via Microsoft office products.
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial environment including working from ladders, aerial lifts, and wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Demonstrated experience working independently as well as with cross-functional team prioritizing multiple self-performed tasks and managing contracted work.
  • Ability to work from, as well as create, written procedures and scopes of work.
  • Ability to work overtime, perform on call duties after normal working hours and weekends as part of a rotating on call schedule, support two annual Facilities Shutdowns, and ability to travel up to 5%.
  • Understanding of OSHA, NFPA, and Building codes as well as General building construction.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • PLC controls experience
  • Stationary Engineering License Grade 3
  • Experience maintaining Thermal Oxidizers or other pollution control equipment
