About the Role

We are seeking a Logistics Team Leader to oversee operations within the Shipping, Receiving & Warehouse (SRW), Material Handling, and Incoming Raw Material Inspection teams. This role will provide day-to-day leadership, ensure regulatory and audit compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Logistics Team Leader will collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Facilities, and other Logistics leaders to support a safe, efficient, and high-quality supply chain operation.

 

This role will be located at our Appleton Central facility in Elkton, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

  • $95,000 - $114,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members across SRW, material handling, and incoming inspections functions
  • Promote and maintain a safe, compliant, and continuously improving work environment
  • Partner cross-functionally across Gore Medical to standardize processes, align best practices, and support operational excellence
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for raw material flow, warehouse operations, and incoming inspection processes
  • Ensure audit readiness and support audit preparation activities for all raw material management areas
  • Lead continuous-improvement efforts in support of a lean manufacturing environment
  • Collaborate with other Logistics Team Leaders to develop, manage, analyze, and communicate key performance metrics
  • Coordinate team resoucing and training requirements
  • Support execution of Nonconformance Report (NCR), Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA), and Failure Investigation (FIR) processes
  • Additional responsibilites as required within the scope of position

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, material handling, or logistics operations
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to set expectations, manage performance, and build a positive, high-engagement work culture
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including experience collaborating across multiple departments and levels (i.e. Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Procurement)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and drive effective solutions
  • Proven ability to make timely, informed decisions while navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, or incomplete information
  • Ability and willingness to travel between 5-10%

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, business, or operations
  • Experience with Warehouse Management and Quality systems; as well as Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of Transportation (carrier management, issue resolution)
