About the Role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Operator/Technician to join our Finishing Team to inspect/sample/package and perform rigorous batch review for regulated products on 2nd shift.  This commitment provides the opportunity to join a growing team to help ensure that we are meeting our operations objectives and customer needs.  Standard weekly hours are 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday - Friday.

 

This role will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland. 

 

Pay and Benefits:

  • $19.00 - $30.00 per hour      
  • This role is eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities

  • Learn, support, and practice Gore culture

  • Manufacture product, completing set-up, cleaning, troubleshooting, and operating a broad range of complex process equipment
  • Follow area environmental safety practices, including the use of personal protective equipment while working with Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and Engineering to include the use of personal protective equipment
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participate in continuous improvement efforts
  • Perform quality inspection and testing
  • Perform detailed and accurate record keeping for process documentation and data collection
  • Utilize our quality system to ensure our process delivers products that meet customer needs and expectations that adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and International Standards Organization
  • Partner with cross functional teams to meet production goals
  • Support occasional overtime and flex shift schedule, as needed

 

Required Qualifications

  • Experience running complex equipment and keeping accurate documentation (e.g. batch records, process logs)
  • Basic computer skills with ability to learn more advanced systems
  • Demonstrated attention to detail while making product quality decisions, adhering to SOP’s and written work instructions
  • Ability to working independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, including providing and responding to feedback.
  • Ability to focus on primary commitments while managing multiple priorities 
  • Able to work in a cleanroom environment and wear cleanroom garments and gloves
  • Able to cross-train and perform a variety of tasks including, lifting 35 lbs several times per shift 
  • Able to adapt to production schedule changes with the ability to work overtime

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in an FDA or other regulated environment
  • Experience in Quality Inspection
  • Experience working independently and within a functional team
