About the Role

We are looking for a Skilled Trades Leader to join our team. In this role you will lead both the Skilled Trades Team at Fair Hill and Papermill West, setting strategic direction for the team and ensuring it meets the needs of our internal customers in the GPS OPCO. This position plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, fostering team development and advancing our capabilities. You will be the process owner for plant calibrations.

 

 

 

This role will be located in our facility in Elkton, Maryland or Newark, Delware. 

 

 

 

Pay and Benefits:

  • $100,000 - $147,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership to the team, ensuring alignment with divisional goals and fostering a cohesive, high performing team
  • Develop key metrics and monitor performance vs. target. Drive corrective action when metric targets are not met. Hold the team accountable for meeting personal and
  • team objectives, drive P & D for the team
  • Ensure compliance in support of the Quality Management system
  • Ensure the implementation of, and adherence to, systems and processes that meet environmental, health and safety requirements.  Lead with a “safety first” mindset
  • Partner effectively with manufacturing, R & D/NPD, engineering and other support teams to meet business requirements
  • Model the Gore Culture to create an inclusive work environment where associates are engaged and feel valued

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading others in a skilled trades, manufacturing, operations or technical environment
  • Experience developing and or maintaining preventive maintenance/calibration schedules
  • Ability to communicate directly and effectively with Associates across various functions to resolve challenges
  • Proven ability to handle competing priorities
  • Strong background in team development and mentorship
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing key performance indicators to manage and plan
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders
  • Ability to travel 5%

 

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP/EAM and QSI
  • Experience developing budgets and managing budgets.
  • Solidworks/camworks knowledge
