About the Role

We are looking to add an experienced Facilities Security Specialist to Enterprise Security team at Elk Creek in Elkton, Maryland with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement. As a member of a small global team, you will be responsible for contributing towards (Physical) Security strategic objectives for all Associates, businesses and facilities in the US, as well as supporting Enterprise functional initiatives. Your primary focus will be on Gore’s Fabrics Business. 

 

Pay and Benefits:

  • $95,000 - $110,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate on-site third-party security service providers, overseeing service agreements, and proactively seeking opportunities for performance improvement
  • Drive the implementation and continual improvement of unified functional processes, assessments, and programs in the Americas
  • Develop, review, and execution of Operating Procedures, and Site Security Plans
  • Manage projects of varying degrees of complexity, scope, and objectives within the region and as necessary working with internal clients and external resources
  • Implement our global security standard for all new construction projects and refurbishments
  • Drive security-awareness as a Regional Security representative and partner with other functional areas of the Enterprise to support, implement and execute functionally aligned projects
  • Support our Fabrics retail business in the Americas
  • Respond to security incidents, conduct root-cause investigations, document incidents with recommendations for improvements
  • Represent Enterprise Security during audits like ISO, C-TPAT

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in corporate security or security operations  
  • An intermediate knowledge of physical security technology systems such as electronic access control and video management platforms, incident reporting & communication systems, technologies, and hardware
  • Experience in managing projects and third-party service providers
  • Experience with physical security programs, processes, and policies
  • Experience developing and/or conducting Security Risk Assessments and Security Compliance Audits
  • Experience with retail security
  • Experience collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams to effectively plan for and implement physical security enhancements
  • Computer skills that include all standard Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel 10%

Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or other professional security certification(s)
  • Working knowledge of emergency or mass communication system(s)
  • CPR or basic life support certified

 

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed. Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore’s work arrangement policies.
