About the Role
We’re looking for a Field Sales Associate (Sales Manager) to join our Industrial Markets team in Tokyo, Japan who will grow the Filtration (filter bags) and Sealant (gaskets) businesses in the Chemicals, Metals and Waste to Energy segments.
In this role, you will be responsible for growing revenue, nurturing and expanding relationships with our significant customers and channel partners.
You should have 8-15 years of experience in technical sales of capital goods to Chemicals, Metals processing and waste incineration plants.
Responsibilities
- Identify new opportunities and exceed profitable sales growth in the Japan region.
- Develop and achieve sales forecast
- Direct accountability for developing and closing sales amongst designated accounts
- Build & maintain long-term customer relationship & satisfaction
- Develop sales strategy and tactics for Filtration and Sealant business in consultation with leadership team
- Consultative and value selling with technically oriented customers
- Provide first level technical and quality support to the end users
- Create the sales strategy working together with regional MARCOM team
- Handle tradeshow, conferences and technical seminars.
- Share knowledge and develop case histories with Filtration and Sealant team.
Required Qualifications
- University graduate or equivalent knowledge and experience (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering).
- More than 8years sales experience with industrial products, preferable filtration.
- Good Japanese and English proficiency (spoken & written)
- A good hunter sales mentality to effectively uncover and qualify prospects.
- Capable to identify and build quality network in the Chemicals, Metals and Waste to Energy industry via various channels (social media, conferences, exhibitions, referrals, distributors, etc.)
- Proficient in strategic selling and prospecting skill.
- Competent in consultative and value selling skill with technically oriented customers.
- Experience and successful selling through third party (Distributors, EPC, OEM, agent).
- Quick customer acquisition of new accounts.
- Ability to travel more than 50% of the time, mostly in Japan
