About the Role

We are looking for a Field Sales / Account Manager to join our North America Consumer Fabrics team.  If you have a passion for selling premium apparel products in the outdoor industry, then we are looking for you! In this role, you will sell and promote GORE-TEX products to some of the most well know premium outdoor and lifestyle brands in North America.  If you enjoy learning about technical products and explaining to customer how those products can help solve their consumer problems, please consider joining our team.

 

 

This is a remote position, and you can work from home in most locations within United States.​​ The ideal candidate would be located in a Major Western US City.

 

 

Pay and Benefits:

  • $100,000-$140,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting and reaching sales goals for several various sized accounts
  • Developing and implementing account plans, including long-term winning account strategies, objectives and opportunities; This plan is to be used as the basis for internal and external periodic reviews
  • Understand the customer by maintaining deep and broad knowledge of the accounts’ business, so as to be able to create exceptional value for it; this includes an exceptional understanding of the accounts’ strategies, positioning to consumers, and the priorities of various purchase decision-makers
  • Understand the market by spending time at retail, in the field, being an active listener during account interactions and gathering intelligence from various other sources
  • Understand our products by continuously showing curiosity with products specialists, other sales associates and all potential information sources
  • The ability to turn complex internal product/business strategies into clear and concise account strategies
  • Work cross functionally by closely coordinating with Business Unit, Marketing Team, Sales and Product Team to develop product ranges, merchandising solutions and agreements that uniquely build Gore’s ability to succeed with each account
  • The ability to understand exactly what a customer needs to be successful and translate those needs effectively internally (forecasting, account plans, trip reports, utilization of SalesForce)

 

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience successfully selling premium-priced technical products in a consumer related industry OR with a strong familiarity of premium products or service in a consumer related industry
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including listening skills
  • Proficiency using computer software and applications (ie. SalesForce)
  • Desire and ability to gain deep product knowledge and leverage this knowledge to identify and close customer opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability finding the proper balance between championing the account needs internally and representing the needs of the company externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to uncover, develop and win complex opportunities in a fast paced, demanding environment
  • Ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders to drive sales opportunities to completion while successfully developing lasting relationships with multiple levels of customer organizations
  • Ability to navigate a matrix organization
  • Ability to travel up to 40% (with seasonal travel slightly higher), preferable located in a West Coast city

 

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in the garments, footwear or related industry

 

 

This position offers a remote work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed.  Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore’s work arrangement policies.
