About the Role
We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join the Testing Center team. In this role, you will provide quality control (QC) analytical and biological testing services. This is a hands-on testing role in a regulated environment requiring quick turnaround times while executing high-quality work.
This role will be located at our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Responsibilities
- Test raw materials, components, and/or finished medical devices per standard operating procedures
- Perform general lab support duties such as ordering supplies, laboratory cleaning, glassware washing, media/reagent preparation, and equipment maintenance
- Train to standard operating procedures and test methods
- Document procedures, test methods, observations, results, and other records in the quality system
- Participate in continuous laboratory improvement efforts, including driving change orders and revisions to documents
- Assist in the development, validation, and documentation of test methods and/or equipment
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workplace
- Provide customer service support
- Maintain compliance with training expectations as required for this position
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline OR high school diploma AND at least 1 year experience as a lab technician in a regulated industry OR a high school diploma AND at least 3 years general lab experience
- Experience working in a quality system and/or within a regulated industry
- Knowledge of safe chemical handling and ability to follow established safety practices
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to accurately collect data and document laboratory activities in the quality system or in lab notebooks
- Proficiency in typical office computer software such as MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to follow protocols and standard operating procedures accurately, repetitively, and without distraction
- Ability to work with various laboratory instruments, software, supplies, and reagents
- Demonstrated ability to work within a continuously changing environment, meet tight deadlines, and be motivated to provide excellent customer service
- Proven ability to work effectively within teams as well as independently
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering
- Experience in microbiological and/or analytical testing
