About the Role

We are looking for a Divisional Manufacturing Operator to join our Medical Division. In this role, you will be working with the manufacturing team on the Day Shift from 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday – Thursday and manufacture medical devices. 

 

This role will be located at our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona.

 

Pay and Benefits:

  • $23.50 - $24.50 per hour   
  • This role is eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate production equipment
  • Assemble materials using written instructions (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Visually inspect, ensure, and assemble parts in process to quality specifications
  • Accurately enter data into tracking system
  • Work as a team member in a manner that fosters a positive work environment
  • Consistent and predictable attendance and punctuality
  • Partner with other functions to continuously assess and improve processes
  • Maintain compliance with training expectations as required for this position
  • Additional responsibilities as required within the scope of the position  

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and machine operation experience
  • Ability to pass visual acuity assessment test including 20/20, and Color with or without corrective vision
  • Experience working within a defined Quality System and making good product quality decisions
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with the ability to learn more advanced systems
  • Must be able to routinely lift up to 35 pounds and be on your feet the majority of the shift
  • Must be able to work in a controlled/regulated environment which includes wearing a frock, PPE, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to: Learn and execute a manufacturing process and follow written instructions, Multitask and balance multiple priorities, apply good personal judgement and consult others when needed, Keep accurate and complete records, Work independently as well as in a team environment, Perform basic mathematical computations, Clearly communicate both verbally and in writing including responding to feedback, Work the scheduled shift and have flexibility to meet business needs 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in thermoplastic injection molding
  • Background in plastic resin handling 

 

This role requires pre-hire medical clearance by Gore which may include testing to assess visual acuity and/or the ability to wear specific safety equipment as required during the performance of the role.
