About the Role

We are looking for a Global Planning Leader to join our team. In this role, you will lead the global planning function, strengthen the S&OP process in alignment with commercial teams, and enable better business decisions through aligned demand and supply plans.

You will lead and develop a multi-region planning team while partnering across commercial, supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, and finance teams. This role will drive planning process improvements and optimize SAP S/4HANA-enabled ways of working to improve forecast accuracy, inventory performance, service levels, and overall planning maturity.

 

This position will be located at our facility in Newark, Delaware or Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.

Pay and Benefits:

  • $180,000 - $210,000 per year
  • Roles above $150k are eligible for the variable pay program each fiscal year, based on defined business performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Own the global S&OP process end-to-end, ensuring a disciplined cadence, clear decision points, and alignment across regions and product portfolios.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the multi-region planning team, strengthening planning capability, functional excellence, and consistent ways of working.
  • Optimize SAP S/4HANA-enabled planning processes by identifying business process improvements and partnering with digital teams to support effective configuration and adoption.
  • Drive demand and supply planning process excellence, including common methods, tools, KPIs, governance, and standards.
  • Monitor planning performance and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy, inventory performance, service levels, and process maturity.
  • Partner cross-functionally with commercial, supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, finance, and logistics teams to align forecasts, supply plans, trade-offs, and business priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or business or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain/ planning, including a minimum of 5 years in people leadership
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, with demonstrated experience improving planning processes and system-enabled ways of working
  • Experience leading or owning an S&OP process, including facilitation, governance, and decision-making cadence
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and deliver results in complex environments
  • Experience utilizing Lean/Six Sigma and digital tools to improve process efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to partner across functions, operate across multiple regions, and influence stakeholders
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including international travel

Desired Qualifications

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
  • Experience leading global or multi-region planning teams

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed.  Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore’s work arrangement policies.
