About the Role

We are looking for a Laboratory Technology intern (f/m/d) to start as soon as possible in our Research & Development (R&D) laboratory at Gore in Heerlen. During this internship, you will be responsible for independently introducing and validating three brand-new measurement techniques. You will have the chance to apply your theoretical knowledge directly within an innovative, international organization and make a meaningful contribution to our quality and product development.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up, testing, and optimizing the three newly introduced measurement techniques within the laboratory
  • Drafting clear protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the permanent laboratory team
  • Performing calibrations and validation tests to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the measurements
  • Analyzing test data and reporting the results clearly to the R&D engineers
  • Presenting your findings and recommendations at the conclusion of your internship period

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a relevant vocational or applied sciences degree (MLO / HLO) in Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, or a similar STEM field
  • Basic experience with core analytical techniques and a commitment to working precisely according to safety regulations
  • A proactive work ethic, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well independently
  • Good command of both the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written
