About the Role
We are looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager based in Hong Kong to join our global procurement team. In this role, you will lead the strategic development and management of a regional supplier network providing textile and processing solutions.
The primary responsibility of the role is to develop, implement and execute regional procurement category strategies for your defined categories in line with the global organization goals. In support of this, work activities will include amongst others contracting; risk and supplier performance management to ensure reliable supply; market analysis, sourcing of new capabilities; sustainability management.
This role will be located at our facility in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities
- Engage with internal global and regional stakeholders to understand and serve the needs of our business
- Shape global strategies and develop, implement, and execute the regional Procurement category strategy
- Conduct supplier and market analysis and provide insights to stakeholders
- Develop the supply network (existing & new suppliers) to create access to value adding technologies and sources
- Establish and manage critical supplier relationships and lead supplier strategy development and performance management workflows across the network
- Identify and drive strategic sourcing initiatives
- Lead contract negotiations to deliver the required service and performance levels
- Assess supply risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans
- Drive Sustainability, Social and Regulatory compliance across supply network
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in general business management, or supply chain management or equivalent professional qualification
- Either 5 years or more experience in a Supply Chain role with extensive exposure to the management of an external supplier network, or 3 years experience in a Strategic Sourcing Manager role
- Strategic mindset capable of translating organizational and functional needs and goals into an executable work plan
- Experience developing and executing supplier performance and risk management workflows
- Leadership skills with demonstrated ability to set a direction and hold other business partners accountable for the delivery of workflows; have strong project management skill and problem-solving skill
- Demonstrated capability to drive difficult supplier negotiations to successful outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to create, implement and execute a Category and supporting Supplier sourcing strategies
- Fluent written/verbal English and Chinese
- Ability to travel up to 20% within region (China/Taiwan and others)
