About the Role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our Flexible High Performing Manufacturing team and work the 2nd Shift. This role ensures that operational objectives and business needs are met by cross-training and providing support across multiple manufacturing areas and equipment as required. Standard hours will be 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday. 

 

This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland. 

 

Pay and Benefits:

  • $19 - $32 per hour
  • This role is eligible for an additional $2/hr shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Final Material Inspection manufacturing equipment to inspect finished product (including troubleshooting, accurate record keeping and data entry, and preventative maintenance)
  • Utilize quality systems, work instructions, and SOPs to consistently deliver products that meet customer requirements, both internal & external.
  • Identify and actively participate in continuous improvement efforts and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Follow and advocate all safety practices, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Complete 100% of monthly and yearly safety trainings.
  • Ensure all training documents are accurate and up to date.
  • Work independently and within a diverse team and contribute to a high performing manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain excellent timekeeping skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience operating manufacturing equipment.
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills and ability to learn more advanced computer applications (i.e. manufacturing execution systems, enterprise resource planning systems) as well as good documentation and record keeping skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrate the ability to be a motivated and positive influence on team and teammates while working both independently and in a team environment.
  • Be willing to adapt to changing business needs, with a willingness to work overtime, weekends, and alternate between shifts and areas if business needs.
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds as necessary, operate a powered industrial vehicle, and stand for long periods of time. 
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

 

Desired Qualifications

  • High school education.
  • Manufacturing Inspection experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with Microsoft 365.
