About the Role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our Fibers, Gaskets, and Fluid Filtration Team at our Appleton South Facility and work the 3rd Shift. This associate will understand and apply the best-in-class manufacturing principles in a High Technology and High-Quality Culture. Standard hours will be 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM Sunday through Friday. 

 

This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland. 

 

Pay and Benefits:

  • $21 - $30 per hour
  • This role is eligible for an additional $2/hr shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Learning, practicing, supporting, and teaching the Gore culture
  • Setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex process equipment
  • Inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting product both on and offline
  • Performing detailed and accurate record keeping in a timely manner
  • Following work instructions, SOP guidelines, and other modules of the quality system
  • Interacting and communicating with a cross-functional group, including shop associates, process engineers, and new-product-development associates
  • Multi-tasking and operating several pieces of equipment simultaneously in a safe manner
  • Practicing and advocating safety policies
  • Working independently as well as in a team

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating complex manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with basic statistical analysis, including using Microsoft Excel to calculate averages and create clear, presentable charts and graphs
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, for example updating and maintaining SOP documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while positively contributing to and influencing in a team environment
  • Physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs on a routine basis
  • Willingness and availability to work overtime as business needs require, including weekends

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience identifying and driving continuous improvement efforts
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including the ability to interpret basic mechanical drawings, use hand tools and measuring devices, and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Experience working in SAP S/4HANA software
