About the Role

We are looking for Application Engineer of Automotive in APAC region (India). In this role you will serve as technical support in the application of our products to customers in India. This will be a highly dynamic and energizing role, working with regional automotive customers and collaborating with cross functional teams, requiring proactive communication to ensure positive customer experience. The role will be located at our facility in India.

Responsibilities

• Develop in-depth market and application understanding in Automotive venting and Gore capabilities.
• Understanding customer’s needs and collaborating with experts (Regional and Global) to fulfill those needs by utilizing global lab capability and application engineering and business team network.
• Validate that the customer’s use of existing products and developing products meets established Fit-For-Use (FFU) criteria.
• Driving the growth of existing products in target end users; Together with Field Sales Associates (FSA), develop market insight and work with the sales team on growth plans for targeted end uses or categories.
• Identify new product opportunities in areas of application expertise; Provide FFU input and customers feedback to the New Products Development process and communicate with commercial, marketing and technical teams.
• Develop & expand long-term customer’s relationships with OEM and tiers in the market to secure the existing projects and win new projects. Build excellent connection/engagement with technical decision makers.
• Share application insights, competitive options, and competitive technology with the business team as input into the product development and innovation plans actively in Automotive industry.
• Provide support for quality issues experienced by customers.
• Proactive technical support for all applications utilizing vents.
• Drive growth of Powertrain and emerging application related EV in India.

Required Qualifications

• University graduate with Engineering background.
• More than 3 yrs technical experience in Automotive market.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to efficiently resolve technical issues
• Ability to recognize when application requirements may not be met by existing products and need of new product development.
• Ability to extract application requirements and translate into product specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage expectations, with internal or external customers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with external customers.
• Strong learning ability and open mind for new challenge.
• Ability to travel at least 30%

Desired Qualifications

• Familiar with Automotive OEM & tier.
• Familiar with technical aspects of vents or automotive component.
• Experience related to EV technologies.
