About the Role
We are looking for a Field Sales Associate to join our Clean Energy team in India who will help establish and scale Gore’s hydrogen and broader energy transition business in one of the world’s fastest-growing emerging markets.
This role combines strategic market development, customer engagement, technical-commercial positioning, and opportunity pipeline creation across India’s rapidly evolving hydrogen ecosystem. The primary focus will be PEM water electrolysis and PEM fuel cells, while maintaining visibility into adjacent opportunities such as AWE and broader energy transition applications.
The position is expected to evolve from early-stage market development into a core revenue-generating commercial role supporting long-term business growth in India.
Responsibilities
- Develop deep understanding of India’s hydrogen and energy transition market landscape
- Identify, prioritize, and develop relationships with strategic customers and influencers
- Build and manage a structured commercial opportunity pipeline
- Engage technical, procurement, and executive stakeholders within customer organizations
- Expand Gore’s position with existing accounts, including Ohmium
- Support specification and qualification efforts for Gore technologies
- Monitor policy developments, funding programs, and industry trends
- Deliver market and customer insights to global business teams
- Collaborate closely with Product Specialists, Application Engineering, Marketing, and Business Development teams
- Support conference participation, customer visits, and strategic industry engagement activities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience in technical sales, business development, market development, or strategic account management
- Experience in energy, industrial, chemical, hydrogen, fuel cell, or electrolyzer-related industries
- Strong customer engagement and relationship-building capabilities
- Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial and emerging-market environment
- Strong communication and influencing skills across technical and commercial stakeholders
- Ability to think strategically while driving execution
- Willingness to travel extensively within India
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of PEM water electrolysis and/or fuel cell technologies
- Familiarity with AWE technologies and broader energy transition markets
- Experience engaging OEMs, EPCs, or industrial customers
- Understanding of India’s energy and hydrogen ecosystem
- Experience building commercial pipelines in emerging markets
