About the Role
We are looking for a Category Manager to join our Indirect Procurement team. In this role you will manage or perform strategic sourcing work to manage risk and optimize the value/resilience of materials/services sourcing required by the Facilities and Utilities organization within the Enterprise globally.
Responsibilities include establishing supplier relationship management processes and continuous improvement goals/programs, negotiating contracts and coordinating supplier integration plans with internal stakeholders, monitoring market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing, partnering with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing needs, develop buyer/market profiles, identify marketplace trends, and define acceptable service levels.
This position will be located at one of our facilities in Newark, Delaware, or in Phoenix, or Flagstaff, Arizona, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Utilize supply market analysis as developed for in-scope procurement categories
- Create and execute category strategies by collaborating with Category Lead in alignment with Operating Companies and Enterprise goals
- Execute negotiations in alignment with the category sourcing strategies with all suppliers
- Leverage spend outputs and deliverables in direct application of category strategy: Spend Analytics, Total Cost of Ownership, Supplier Performance and Risk Management, Procurement Policy Development/Governance
- Collaborate with the Procurement Operational Team and Indirect Procurement associates across all Operating Companies and Speciality Groups
- Demonstrate ability to partner with stakeholders to impact change employing Industry Standard practices and in support of transformational initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 7 years of Procurement or relevant work experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary for successful supplier negotiations and collaborating with internal stakeholders
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities to drive to root cause issues and develop corrective actions
- Ability to analyze data effectively to identify and interpret information to make decisions and recommendations to support our internal stakeholders
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Desired Qualifications
- Procurement experience supporting Facilities and Utilities function globally or regionally with understanding of Facilities and Utilities services
