About the Role
We are seeking a Market Development Associate to join Gore’s Performance Solutions Division, where you’ll act as an internal entrepreneur to identify and grow new business opportunities in the semiconductor and test markets. This remote role offers a unique opportunity to shape our strategy and expand our footprint in emerging technologies.
This is a remote position, and you can work from home in most locations within the United States, preferably in California or on the East Coast.
Pay and Benefits:
- $145,000 - $169,000 per year
- Roles above $150k are eligible for the variable pay program each fiscal year, based on defined business performance metrics.

Responsibilities
- Identify and explore new markets and applications in semiconductors and emerging technologies
- Acquire and engage new customers to build initial opportunity funnels
- Drive and implement market growth initiatives across targeted regions
- Analyze customer needs and industry trends to inform strategy and product development
- Provide actionable market insights to support business planning and pipeline development
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including specifiers, influencers, and decision-makers
- Engage end-users and customers to create demand and generate opportunities for current and new products
Required Qualifications
- BS degree (Marketing, Business, or Engineering preferred) with 5 years experience in market/business development, sales, or strategic marketing roles
- Experience and passion for engaging with new markets and building customer relationships
- Experience developing business cases for new opportunities
- Collaborative mindset with a drive to share insights and work across teams
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex technologies
- Capable of operating at both strategic market and technical levels
- Self-motivated with a proactive sales approach while comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving environments
- Ability to translate market insight into actionable initiatives
- Ability to build networks and market knowledge from the ground up
- Ability to travel 40%
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in semiconductor industry particularly in etch and deposition process
- Proven ability to conduct and interpret market analysis, including segmentation, competitive benchmarking, and opportunity assessment
This position offers a remote work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed. Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore’s work arrangement policies.
