In this role, you’ll guide sales, sales operations, and marketing communication teams to deliver results that matter—building strong customer relationships and ensuring our solutions meet the evolving needs of regulated industries. This position is located in Elkton, Maryland with regular global travel (up to 50%) required to develop deep relationships with our customers. A hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of one full five-day week per month in the office may be considered for candidates not local to Elkton, MD (in addition to 50% customer travel). Relocation assistance may be provided. 

Pay and Benefits:

  • $200,000 - $250,000 per year
  • Roles above $150k are eligible for the variable pay program each fiscal year, based on defined business performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performing 20+ global sales, sales operations, and marketing communication team. Actively lead them to deliver substantial growth by engaging directly with pharmaceutical, bioprocessing, and medical device customers
  • Dedicate up to 50% of time to building deep, strategic customer relationships through account reviews, joint problem-solving sessions, and industry engagement. Strategically target accounts to secure high-impact new customers and strengthen existing partnerships
  • Define and execute a dynamic global sales growth strategy. Set clear priorities and mobilize the team to achieve aggressive growth targets
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for customer engagement, milestone achievement, sales funnel progression, and attainment of sales targets. Lead lean daily/weekly/monthly management reviews and initiate decisive actions to keep the team focused and accountable for outcomes. Improve data quality and availability as needed by establishing best practices and/or partnering with IT as needed
  • Lead Strategy Deployment by driving Sales plans that deliver measurable global impact. Partner across teams for seamless go-to-market execution, inspire high performance, and capture new business opportunities to exceed market growth benchmarks 
  • Coach, align, and empower associates to build capability, deliver measurable results, and advance new opportunities while championing our organizational culture and values
  • Champion continuous improvement by embedding the Gore Business System, fostering a culture where daily management, kaizen activities, and revenue-focused problem-solving are the norm
  • Leverage the marketing communications team to amplify business impact through advanced digital sales and marketing initiatives. Accelerate results by orchestrating successful events, tradeshows, external communications, and Net Promoter Score surveys that enhance our external presence and directly support growth objectives 
  • Engage inside sales and customer support teams to increase time spent with customers by championing continuous improvement 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years demonstrated global sales leadership in highly regulated, medical device component or bioprocessing markets, where you have consistently delivered growth through a customer-focused, externally oriented approach on highly technical bioprocessing/medical device design considerations
  • Track record of top-line growth in both established and adjacent markets, achieved by leveraging deep customer empathy and market knowledge to co-create and execute effective business strategies across functions and regions
  • Proven experience leading negotiations and managing complex agreements—balancing timelines, risks, and uncertainties—to consistently achieve win-win business outcomes that support both customer and company goals
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional leaders, energize teams and drive substantial market expansion by actively engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and translating insights into accelerated sales and market development
  • Inspirational leadership skills with a passion for building accountable, high-performing teams; adept at coaching, mentoring, and resolving challenges to foster a culture of ownership and results, even in ambiguous situations
  • Strategic mindset for designing and deploying optimal sales structures and go-to-market models that prioritize external customer needs and maximize global impact
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities enabling you to build genuine, trust-based relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders across the globe
  • Flexibility to support global teams with ability to travel up to 50% to meet customers face-to-face, and proactively cultivate strong external partnerships
  • Self-motivated with a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit; strong execution, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, prioritizing customer success and business growth

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or in business or advanced degree 
  • Experience driving growth using continuous improvement tools including Strategy Deployment, Daily Management, Kaizen, and problem solving
  • Experience driving growth in Asia and Europe
