About the Role - EXTERNAL

The Associate Director, Global Brand Strategy is a senior role in the Medical division of W. L. Gore & Associates responsible for developing, implementing, and stewarding the overarching Medical brand strategy for our global portfolio of medical devices. This individual leads global brand architecture, positioning, and narrative – ensuring a clear, compelling brand identity and message across all markets. In this role, you will partner with global business teams, sales, regional commercial and cross-functional teams to ensure that the Gore brand is a strategic driver for long-term growth, differentiation, and customer loyalty. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in healthcare/medtech/life sciences brand management, the proven ability to translate complex innovations into meaningful customer narratives, and success influencing senior stakeholders.

 

This is a remote position, and you can work from home in most locations within the United States. 

Responsibilities

  • Drive and evolve the global brand strategy for Gore in the Medical marketspace, including architecture, positioning, and messaging, to drive business growth and differentiation.
  • Shape and direct global brand initiatives and campaigns that build customer trust, engagement, and long-term loyalty, creating long-term value for the business
  • Lead governance of brand and naming architecture, and develop guidelines, tools, and training to ensure consistent and effective brand execution worldwide.
  • Partner with global and regional business and cross-functional teams to embed brand strategy into customer experiences and business priorities.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and personas are integrated across markets, channels, and initiatives.
  • Champion the brand internally by inspiring and equipping employees to embrace and embody the brand in ways that strengthen reputation and customer loyalty

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years in a brand, marketing or brand management role
  • Bachelor degree 
  • Proven success shaping global brand strategies and initiatives, including architecture, positioning, and narrative development.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills with a track record of partnering with senior executives across functions and geographies to drive alignment and adoption
  • Expertise in brand governance and guidelines, and performance measurement, with a data-driven mindset
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills to translate complex innovations into compelling customer narratives
  • Deep experience in customer insight–driven brand building, with measurable impact on loyalty, trust, and business growth.
  • Strong track record managing a global brand across diverse markets and cultures.
  • Forward-thinking, collaborative, and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed global environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

 

Desired Qualifications

 
  • Preferred work experience minimum 3 yrs in in medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries

 

This role requires ongoing access to U.S. hospitals and compliance with facility-specific access policies (which may include a requirement to provide proof that you are fully vaccinated with one of the COVID-19 vaccines), vendor credentialing requirements including drug screening, background checks, immunization and training.

 

This position offers a remote work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed. Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore’s work arrangement policies.
