About the Role
We are seeking a Field Inventory Specialist to join the Field Inventory & Strategy Team within Sales Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the inventory of medical devices in the field. Your work will directly impact the business by maximizing inventory efficiency and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with the sales team and customers to source products for cases and manage implanted consignment and bill-only inventory.
This position will be located either at our facility in Phoenix, Tempe, or Flagstaff, Arizona, with a possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Proactively collaborate with FSAs and customers to collect POs for implanted and missing items
- Manage customer bill only portals and open orders
- Maximize inventory efficiency through coordinating the movement of product needed for cases
- Collaborate with Consignment Specialists, Product Specialists and/or the analytics team to identify inventory improvement opportunities and coordinate focused efforts related to the optimization of both trunk stock and consigned inventory
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Sales, Sales Operations, and Supply Chain Teams
- Identify areas for process improvement within the field inventory management function; propose and implement solutions
- Provide support in the sustainment of inventory management tools
- Manage inventory activities during product launches and transitions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, or related discipline; In lieu of degree, 6 months experience in field inventory management, logistics, and/or finished good supply chain practices
- Aptitude for learning new systems; Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite and BI Tools
- Strong analytics skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders, including internal and external
- Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs and priorities
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 5%
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of our sales tools such as Salesforce, MoveMedical, Tableau, PowerBI, Oracle E1, Bill-Only Applications and/or SAP
- Experience with field inventory management, logistics, and/or finished good supply chain practices within the medical device industry
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed. Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore’s work arrangement policies.
