About the Role
We are looking for a Medical Functions Leader to serve as a key member of the Product & Innovation Leadership Team and play a critical part on the Gore Medical Leadership Team. This person will also provide strategic and operational leadership across all global medical functions, including Clinical, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Health Economics & Reimbursement, and Product Specialists.
This position will be located at our facility in Phoenix or Flagstaff, Arizona, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership across a broad set of medical functions, ensuring market-leading capabilities in clinical, regulatory, medical affairs and health economics
- Represent the Medical Functions interests, and provide expertise in business unit level decision making, strategy development and investment decisions
- Actively participate as a critical member of the Product & Innovation Leadership team responsible for advancing and delivering on a product strategy & portfolio that achieves business outcomes
- Engage externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, consultants, physicians & payor customers, etc. to consistently build perspective on best practice and evolving capabilities and needs; translate these into actionable insights that can be used within the Medical Function teams and more broadly in the business
Execution and Delivery
- Ultimate accountability for the delivery of clinical, regulatory, health economics and medical affairs activity that drives to business outcomes
- Leverage daily management and continuous improvement methods to monitor progress and continually improve outcomes
- Partner closely with R&D, Supply Chain, Regions and Portfolio Business Groups to ensure Medical Function deliverables are optimized within a broader execution ecosystem

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership in medical, regulatory, or clinical roles within the MedTech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries
- Demonstrated experience building capability, developing operating models, and implementing process discipline
- Proven track record of leading multi-functional global teams and leading ‘leader of leaders’
- Demonstrated execution of daily management, problem solving, and diligent performance management practices
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Demonstrated ability to make data driven decisions that balance risk & outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and holistically across the Enterprise
- Proven ability to interpret and apply complex scientific principles and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and support evidence-based decision-making across the organization
- Ability to travel up to 15%
Desired Qualifications
- MBA, PhD, or other advanced degree
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed. Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore’s work arrangement policies.
