About the Role

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our NPD Process Engineering team in Gore Medical. In this role, you'll support New Product Development projects by executing projects to implement innovative, scalable, and efficient manufacturing processes.  

 

This position will be located at our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide process design and support for the manufacturing of new product.
  • Collaborates with multiple functions to establish and execute project schedules for process development, validation and commercialization activities.
  • Understand critical process parameters to ensure the process reliably delivers a fit for use product that meets all specifications and customer requirements
  • Support and implement new equipment design, development, and validation
  • Identify critical uncertainties and apply engineering fundamentals and critical thinking skills to solve technical challenges
  • Identify and address opportunities to continuously improve our products and processes; and assess for regulatory, quality, ergonomic, safety, environmental, and cost impact 
  • Plan and execute technical work using statistical techniques including Design of Experiments (DoE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Utilize Gore project practices and lean business tools to effectively prioritize, plan, and drive projects from development to completion
  • Effectively collaborate and influence on cross-functional teams including product specialists, supply chain, manufacturing, regulatory, quality, and external partners
  • Document and communicate work appropriately within the quality system

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in engineering or science (Chemical, Mechanical, Material, etc.) with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in an engineering position supporting a manufacturing organization
  • Experience in applying statistical tools, example of DoE, validation process, lean manufacturing principals, etc.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, comfortable working in a rapid paced environment, good at multi-task and prioritization
  • Good troubleshooting skill, able to identify technical uncertainties, propose resolving hypothesis and build plans to verify
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team, including influencing across functions (i.e. engineering, maintenance, quality, manufacturing, etc.)
  • Ability to design and execute validation strategies
  • Ability to document, communicate, and present technical bodies of work.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

     

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in New Product Development knowledge & experience throughout the full design control process
  • Passionate about driving deep technical knowledge in manufacturing equipment and associated processes to excel in troubleshooting and continuous improvement

 

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed. Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore’s work arrangement policies.
