About the Role

We are looking for a Plant Leader (f/m/d) to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the Putzbrunn 3 manufacturing facility.  The Plant Leader is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership at the site.

The Plant Leader (f/m/d) will foster an environment of engagement and inclusion for all associates and act with advocacy, empathy, and accountability. The Plant Leader drives and develops the local, cross-functional Supply Chain Plant Leadership team and collaborates closely with local, regional and global leadership teams.

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, engineering, quality control, maintenance, and safety.   They are responsible to drive the plant's operational performance by optimizing processes, managing resources effectively, and ensuring production targets are met.

Responsibilities

  • Manage plant resources, including equipment, materials, and labor, to optimize productivity and efficiency
  • Lead and inspire a diverse team of manufacturing professionals, providing direction, coaching, and mentorship to enhance their skills and foster a positive working environment
  • Ensure that the plant operates in compliance with safety regulations and local environmental standards
  • Ensure seamless coordination with future manufacturing strategies when process technologies or equipment is being phased in or out of plant operations
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into priorities/goals, drive performance and engagement through coaching and feedback, measures outcomes and hold others accountable for results
  • Steward the Gore Culture and provide guidance to ensure best practices are employed

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience leading and developing teams, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards
  • Technical proficiency related to plant operations, including knowledge of equipment, processes, and systems
  • Demonstrated ability to cross functionally influence in a matrix organization to achieve high quality products while increasing productivity, reducing waste, and controlling costs
  • Experience in leading and implementing Lean methodologies, such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), or Kaizen
  • Associate has demonstrated the ability to drive sustainable organizational and behavioral changes and a track record of delivering outstanding business results in new and challenging situations
  • Actively demonstrates Gore’s guiding principles and fosters an environment of inclusion, authenticity, and humility
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English and the ability to communicate directly and effectively with Associates to resolve challenges
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Six sigma or équivalent certifications
  • Experience in textile or rolled goods manufacturing
