About the Role
We are looking for an experienced process engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be part of an engineering team focused on supporting daily operations by helping to ensure reliable supply of fit for use products. Your daily activities may include manufacturing process improvement and modification, expansion of process capabilities, and further enhancement of material technology. You will also focus on ensuring a safe and cost-effective work environment. You will have opportunities to contribute to the installation, operation, maintenance, and upgrade of production and testing equipment, equipment layout, and workflow.
This role is located at one of our facilities in Elkton, Maryland with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement. Relocation assistance may be available.
Pay and Benefits:
- $75,000 - $130,000 per year
- Roles above $150k are eligible for the variable pay program each fiscal year, based on defined business performance metrics.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to support daily operations, equipment sustainment, and maintain a reliable supply chain
- Troubleshoot process, equipment, materials, and product issues using structured root cause analysis; develop and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities through data analysis, considering impacts to safety, quality, cost, ergonomics, and environmental performance
- Monitor and control critical process parameters to ensure consistent delivery of products that meet specifications and customer requirements
- Design and execute experiments using statistical methodologies (e.g., Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control) to develop, optimize, and validate processes
- Lead and support process and equipment initiatives across the end of the lifecycle, including partnering with Innovation scale-up and validation, and driving ongoing optimization. Potential for support of Commercial Product Variant and Derivative Products
- Develop, document, and communicate technical plans, risk assessments, procedures, and experimental results in compliance with quality system requirements
- Apply disciplined project management practices to prioritize and execute work effectively while providing training, coaching, and technical guidance to team members
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment post-graduation
- Proven history of documenting and communicating work effectively
- Demonstrated ability to apply engineering fundamentals and statistical tools to development, optimization, and troubleshooting activities
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, plan, and drive multiple projects concurrently from development to completion against agreed upon timelines and deliverables
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team, including influencing across functions
- Demonstrated ability to identify critical issues and failure modes, creating a framework of action to address these issues and assessing root cause including effective risk-based decision making
- Demonstrated ability to leverage critical thinking to navigate technical and project uncertainties
- Ability to trave up to 10%
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with supporting manufacturing equipment
- Experience with web handling
- Experience working with Lean Manufacturing Tools
- Experience working within SAP
