About the Role
The Performance Solutions Division is seeking a Procurement Associate located in Shenzhen to provide operational procurement support for our Semiconductor Product Family within the Global Procurement team.
In this role, you will drive the implementation of GORE's strategic sourcing strategies of critical raw material and contract manufacturing operations in close alignment with category managers and various supply chain functions. The ideal candidate will be a process driven, solution-oriented, hands-on individual who can simultaneously ensure cost effective contract manufacturing operations, while supporting multiple program teams and development activities.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of the category strategy and provide insights on customer needs and supply market information overview of materials, services or technologies procured from suppliers/contract manufacturers.
- Execute category strategy and implementation plan, i.e., lead or support implementation of category award decisions / new contracts / new supplier relationships including onboarding of new contract manufacturers, validation of raw materials and managing technical transfers.
- Establish an effective interface and drive manufacturing readiness at the contract manufacturer.
- Manage risk of Gore’s supply chain to guarantee a continuous supply of raw material, services and/or product technologies and lead supplier/contract manufacturer issues resolution in cooperation with other functions and category managers including non-conformance management.
- Develop a strong understanding of supplier/material compliance within a regulated supply chain and drive supplier/contract manufacturers compliance to regulated industry requirements such as supporting specification development, audits, and other validation activities necessary to ensure compliant execution of procurement.
- Coordinate and execute purchasing activities with contract manufacturers, drive and monitor cost and inventory reduction projects, drive process improvements, and develop continuous improvement plans.
- Monitor contract manufacturer performance based on agreed KPIs and execute business and performance reviews.
- Develop deep understanding of strategic sourcing activities, including but not limited to spend analysis, benchmarking, supply market analysis, supplier analysis, RFI/RFP Building, negotiations, baseline analysis, contracting, outsourcing & offshoring, product lifecycle management, building business cases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or Operations
- 3+ years’ experience in purchasing, procurement operations, and related topics
- Experience with supplier relationship management establishing expectations, fairly addressing performance or quality issues, and holding others accountable.
- Proven negotiation skills
- Proven ability to effectively work cross functionally.
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity.
- Ability to travel up to 15%.
