About the Role

We are looking for an Applications Engineer to join our Clean Energy team in Europe.

In this role you will provide technical and application support to our European customers in the fast-growing green hydrogen market supporting Fuel Cells and Electrolysis.

You will liaise with customers to promote Gore solutions across programs, ensure their fit-for-use within the application, identify new opportunities to accelerate growth and help define future product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Understand application requirements based on customer and end user needs.
• Support customers to integrate products, address customer technical issues and drive the resolution of quality issues successfully.
• Ensure the elements of Fitness for Use are validated along the global value chain.
• Represent the application requirements in manufacturing qualification, validation, and change control activities while influencing and integrating within the technical and supply chain team.
• Identify new opportunities and drive derivative product commercialization within existing product concepts.
• Participate in new product development and provide subject matter expertise regarding customer requirements and application needs.
• Collaborate with the market facing team to continually improve the value that our products and services deliver to customers in the application.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. Engineering or Science.
• Minimum of 3 years professional experience in technical or customer application support.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and collaborate with internal and external customers globally.
• Self-directed and self-motivated to work at a demanding environment.
• Strong organizational skills with a proven track record of prioritizing and problem solving as well as a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and German.
• Ability to travel up to 25% internationally.

Desired Qualifications

• Subject matter expertise and experience in clean energy ecosystem, hydrogen production, and electrolysis.
• Experience working as an Application Engineer in an emerging market.
• Experience working with global teams.
