About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Field Sales Associate to accelerate the adoption of Gore's thoracic aortic portfolio across Europe, with an initial focus on Germany and Austria.

This role requires an individual with an established network within the cardiothoracic surgery community and a strong understanding of thoracic aortic disease management. The successful candidate will partner closely with cardiothoracic surgeons, hybrid OR teams, and key clinical stakeholders to support the expansion of thoracic aortic therapies, drive clinical adoption, and develop long-term strategic partnerships with leading centres.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, leveraging your clinical and commercial expertise to identify growth opportunities, support complex cases, and help shape Gore's position within the cardiothoracic ecosystem.

This is a remote position based in Germany or Austria, with extensive travel across Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prioritise, and develop strategic relationships with leading cardiothoracic centres across Europe, with a primary focus on Germany and Austria.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with cardiothoracic surgeons, department leaders, hybrid OR teams, and other key decision makers.
  • Develop and execute account plans that drive adoption of Gore's thoracic aortic portfolio and create sustainable business growth.
  • Support physicians and healthcare teams in case planning, procedural execution, and post-case follow up where appropriate.
  • Act as a clinical and commercial expert in thoracic aortic disease and treatment pathways.
  • Drive educational initiatives including workshops, physician training, peer-to-peer programmes, site visits, and best-practice sharing.
  • Collaborate with regional sales, marketing, clinical, and category teams to execute Gore's EMEA cardiothoracic strategy.
  • Provide insights into market dynamics, competitive activity, emerging clinical trends, and adoption barriers.
  • Support the development of hybrid treatment approaches and multidisciplinary collaboration within the cardiothoracic community.
  • Represent Gore at relevant scientific meetings, congresses, and professional society events.

Required Qualifications

  • Based in Germany or Austria.
  • Demonstrated success developing relationships with cardiothoracic surgeons and key stakeholders within leading cardiothoracic centres.
  • Strong understanding of thoracic aortic disease, treatment pathways, and the broader cardiothoracic surgical ecosystem.
  • Significant medical device industry experience within thoracic aortic, cardiothoracic, cardiovascular, aortic, or complex endovascular therapy areas.
  • Extensive experience supporting physicians in operating theatre and hybrid OR environments.
  • Proven ability to engage credibly with cardiothoracic surgeons on both clinical and commercial topics.
  • Experience driving adoption of new technologies and developing new accounts within a specialised clinical field.
  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary heart teams, referral pathways, and hospital decision-making processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently across multiple European markets and cultures.
  • Fluent English and German required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Europe (approximately 75-80%).

Desired Qualifications

•    Established network of cardiothoracic surgeons across Germany and/or Austria.
•    Experience supporting thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR), aortic surgery, or related cardiothoracic procedures.
•    Experience working within thoracic aortic, structural heart, complex endovascular, or adjacent speciality device markets.
•    Previous experience launching new technologies or driving market development initiatives.
•    Existing relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and high-volume cardiothoracic centres.
•    Gore portfolio certification or equivalent experience from a competitor within the thoracic aortic market.
