About the Role
We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant (f/m/d) to join our Financial Shared Services Center in Putzbrunn near Munich. In this role, you will be part of our international Accounting Team responsible for our legal entity in Sweden together with other accounting tasks assigned to this role.
This position will be located at our facility in Putzbrunn, near Munich, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process journal entries (revenue recognition, accruals/reserves, payroll, pension, taxes etc.)
- Month-, quarter- and year-end close tasks
- Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts
- Be responsible for the internal quarterly/annual reporting processes according to US GAAP
- Prepare internal quarterly reporting and annual Financial Statements according to local statutory requirements
- Statutory reporting requirements such as National Statistics
- Collaborate closely with local and global accounting teams and the Business functions to ensure compliance with both local and US GAAP
- Proactively work with other functional teams (IT, business team etc.) to tackle potential set-up challenges in our ERP system together with implementing operational accounting processes
- Support the inventory team and other ad hoc tasks within the accounting team
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Accounting or Finance and/or professional accountancy qualification
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in an international company or audit firm
- Technical accounting knowledge: IFRS required, and US GAAP is a plus
- Keen to take initiatives and a team player with high service-orientation
- Positive mindset and ability to work effectively in a collaborative and international team environment
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, advanced Excel and experience working with ERP systems such as SAP (S4 Hana), PowerBI, TM1
- Fluent in English and Swedish
Desired Qualifications
- Any other language (Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, German) would be a plus
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed. Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore’s work arrangement policies.
