About the Role
We are looking for an Intercompany Accountant (f/m/d) to join our Financial Shared Services Center and international Accounting Team in Putzbrunn near Munich. In this role you will be part of Intercompany team responsible for transactions between Gore group companies.
The position will be located at our facility Putzbrunn near Munich, Bavaria, with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities
• Global Intercompany Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables Invoicing for Commissions, Royalties, Shared services etc. including coordinating, preparing, and posting Intercompany journal entries
• Generate global payment run for Intercompany related transactions
• General accounting procedures such as accruals and deferrals, including preparing varied and numerous journal entries required at month end
• Reconciliations of global Intercompany balances
• Support month-, quarter- and year-end close processes as well as annual external Audit procedures
• Taking on a proactive and collaborative approach to build an effective and stable network of different internal stakeholders for coordination of transactions, account reconciliations and follow up of outstanding items
• As a member of the Intercompany and Accounting Team, you will look for ways to globally align, standardize and improve processes
Required Qualifications
Accounting qualification (i.e., Industriekaufmann/-frau, Bürokaufmann/-frau, Fachkraft Rechnungswesen IHK)
Relevant work experience (+3 years) in Intercompany Accounting and/or Accounts Payables/Receivables or General Accounting, preferably in an international company
Knowledge of European VAT rules
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, advanced Excel and experience working with ERP systems such as JD Edwards and/or SAP
Keen to take initiatives and a team player with high service-orientation
Well-organized with good analytical, problem solving and communication skills
Positive mindset and ability to work independently and effectively in a collaborative and international team environment
Fluent in German and good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
