About the Role
The GORE-TEX Fabrics business is looking for a Product Range Manager (f/m/d) to join our Product Operations Team in Germany, Putzbrunn, or North America, Eastern Cluster, who will be responsible for managing the global product portfolio for our Defense business. These are products like GORE-TEX, PYRAD® and GORE-TEX PYRAD® which are used in mission-critical military gear providing protection and comfort in the toughest conditions.
In that role you will contribute to strengthen our products across their entire life cycle, product introduction, product growth, product maturity and product decline phase.
Responsibilities
- Drive an effective and efficient product range management process for the Defense business
- Enable a healthy product portfolio by identifying gaps and inefficiencies in the global laminate collection, which will be critical to drive new product development and streamline the portfolio
- Identify impact on product changes at a laminate level and provide the information to the relevant functions to enable key business processes like re-commercialization
- Provide product information for new and existing products across the defense portfolio to enable effective demand / supply planning process
- Maintain ERP and PLM systems, ensuring that information held in those systems are in alignment and sustained
- Work closely with all relevant functions on the end-of-life process to ensure an effective and efficient product phase out process
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics or equivalent majors is essential with preferably 1-2 years of experience in the apparel business
- Find excitement managing products that are highest quality and value in their class
- Strong ability to effectively collaborate and influence across functional and global teams like Product Specialist or Application Engineers
- Solution oriented and creative problem-solving attitude, combined with the ability to prioritize and function in a fast-paced operational environment
- Continuous improvement mindset, proactive, strong organizational skills - keen to learn and develop
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to communicate openly with the global stakeholders
- An engaged team player, self-motivated and self-confident to think and work independently with passion to work with regional and global teams
- Very good PC skills, especially MS office 365, databases and ERP systems
- Excellent English verbally and written
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree textile engineering, engineering, technical, or science
- Experience in textile industry
