About the Role
We are looking for a Product Testing and Certification Expert (m/f/d) to join our Gore Fabrics / IBU Product Operations Team in Putzbrunn who will be responsible for GORE-TEX product testing and certification needs for the European market.
In that role you will manage the internal and external processes beginning from the input of testing requisitions, collaboration with external test institutes, the review of incoming test report and efficient transfer to the database.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with business & development teams to ensure timely order management of external product testing and certificate requests for new and existing GORE-TEX laminates
- Responsible for test reports and certifications which are required for the GORE Performance Product tender business, as well as the sustainability testing and certification requirements such as OEKO-TEX®
- Responsible for the relationship of notified bodies and accredited test laboratories to ensure an effective and efficient testing and certification process
- Maintenance of a GORE specific database for product test reports and certificates
- Work on continuous improvement initiatives including helping to enable our digital transformation in new systems (e.g. Product Lifecycle Management / Centric)
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years professional experience in manufacturing industry
- Experience in testing according to norms and standards in a lab enviroment
- Strong project management with proven ability to prioritize and drive multiple technical projects and/or customer support activities
- Team-oriented working style
- Demonstrated self-motivation & ability to work at a fast pace and manage multiple tasks in parallel
- Ability to effectively collaborate with and influence across functional and global teams
- Handles well ambiguity and changing requirements to ensure timely order management.
- Very good PC skills, especially MS office 365, databases and ERP systems
- Fluency in both German and English
Desired Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering, Technical, or Science Degree and / or experience in textile industry
- Passion / energized by ensuring the safety of first responders and civil services including awareness of related Standards, Norms, and technical specifications
- Other European languages appreciated
