About the Role
We are looking for a Regional Commercial Operations Director – APAC with a strong strategic acumen and execution experience to lead commercial operations across the region (China, Taiwan, ASEAN, India, ANZ). This role reports directly to the APAC Regional Leader, serving as the regional commercial operations lead while working closely with global functional teams and key stakeholders in region.
In this role, you will be accountable for designing, driving, and executing the APAC commercial operations strategy and excellence frameworks. You will enable data-driven decision-making, strengthen commercial readiness, and optimize salesforce productivity across direct and distributor commercial models.
You will lead and over core commerical operations functions, including:
- Order-to-Cash
- Sales Training & Education
- Customer Service Management
A critical component of the role is the ability to scope and lead change initiatives aligned with regional business priorities, including transformation, and to embed structured change management practices (e.g., Kaizen) that support adoption, behavior change, and long-term impact.

Responsibilities
Regional Commercial Operations Strategy & Execution
- Design and execute a regional commercial operations strategy tailored to APAC’s complex mix of market models, ensuring operational excellence and business agility
- Identify, scope, and lead operational change initiatives based on evolving commercial strategy (e.g., CRM transformation, distributor optimization, etc.)
- Apply structured daily management and problem solving methodologies (e.g. Kaizen) to support adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working. Supporting cross-functional programs impacting the commercial organization
- Adopting, role model, and champion Gore Business System (GBS) to deliver data-driven insights and performance dashboards that support strategic decision-making by regional leadership
Global Collaboration & Functional Excellence
- Act as the APAC commercial operations lead, be the voices of region, align needs with global strategies and functional initiatives
- Work closely with global operations, enablement, and analytics teams to deploy global programs and ensure APAC voice is incorporated
- Localize global tools and benchmark with best practices to fit the operational realities of APAC markets
Distributor & Direct Sales Support
- Support customer engagement models across the region including performance analytics, governance tools, and channel strategy support and evolutions.
- Work effectively with finished goods supply chain partners to ensure inventory effectiveness in region.
People & Talent Strategy
- Build and lead a high-performing regional commercial operations team and foster a collaborative regional commercial operation leadership team including key operations leaders and teams
- Partner with regional and local HR leaders to develop strategic talent pipelines, succession plans, and regional capability-building initiatives
- Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of core Gore people processes in talent development, performance assessment and culture across APAC Sales Operations team
Required Qualifications
- 10-15+ years of experience in sales/commercial operations or sales enablement within Biopharma, MedTech and Life Sciences sectors.
- Strong regional experience with exposure to China, Southeast Asia, ANZ, and India, including distributor and direct sales models, with country-level and/or pan-regional experience.
- Strategic Perspective: Understand business needs, identify interdependencies, reconcile trade-offs, and determine optimal solutions.
- Analytic Capability: Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of driving operational improvements.
- Change management and communication: Proven experience leading complex change initiatives, communicating effectively and leading cross-functional projects.
- Influencing Skills: Ability to articulate the impact of proposed decisions on revenue, cost, time, headcount, etc., within a highly matrix organizational setup and manages others’ expectations effectively to deliver business outcomes.
- Comfort with Ambiguity: Ability to navigate uncertain situations and drive clarity to action.
- Conflict Resolution: Proven ability to gain trust to enable effective challenge and resolution across stakeholders.
- People Leadership: Demonstrate success in leading leaders, including effective use of talent-building processes and tools.
- Team Building: Enhance team effectiveness by developing working relationships, improving understanding and alignment among members, and fostering communication and trust.
