About the Role

Gore is in the midst of a multi-year project to implement S/4HANA in a greenfield cloud environment. As an organization, Gore is new to SAP and is transitioning away from JD Edwards/Enterprise One ERP. About a third of Gore businesses use SAP and we are actively rolling out SAP to the rest of the business over the next 2 years.  We partnered with SAP for running S/4HANA on SAP’s managed services platform, Enterprise Cloud Services (formerly HEC/Rise). Our landscape includes multiple S/4HANA landscapes, MDG, Solutions Manager, GTS / TM and various Cloud Platform/BTP components including SAC, CPI, and cloud identity components (IAG, IAS, IPS). Our landscape will also include SAP SaaS applications such as Success factors Ariba, GRDC, and IBP.  We seek an experienced BASIS administrator to provide knowledge, experience, hands-on skills, and technical mentorship. The ideal candidate will have experience with SAP’s suite of cloud tools and applications that work in conjunction with S/4HANA.

Responsibilities

  • S/4HANA Administration – NetWeaver and ABAP Stack Administration, SOA Manager Administration
  • HANA DB Administration 2.0, XS Admin, Web IDE, HANA Studio, SDA, Monitoring, and some DBA Activities
  • Cloud Connector Administration (Virtual hosts, principal propagation, troubleshooting, etc.)
  • SAC Agent Administration
  • BTP(SCP) tenant administration (Destinations, service management, certificate management, etc.)
  • IAS SSO configuration
  • Setup/administration/troubleshooting connectivity between S/4HANA and IBP (batch and real time), including CPI-DS
  • Setup/administration/troubleshooting connectivity between S/4HANA and Ariba
  • SLT Replication Administration to/from HANA DB
  • Business Object and Data Services (BODS) Administration
  • Installation, troubleshooting, and performance analysis of Fiori applications
  • Support SAML2, Single Sign-On, and SSL certificates
  • SAP Web Dispatcher and Load Balancer Configuration and Administration
  • ME/MII Maintenance
  • Experience in setup and configuring Optimizers
  • Review Early Watch reports, maintain transport system (STMS), administer Java Stack
  • Support the Implementation Project(s) and technical teams.  Work directly with end users to troubleshoot bugs and reported issues
  • Open support cases with SAP and stay engaged through issue resolution
  • Review and implement SAP Security notes, following established procedures to move the change through the relevant landscape(s) to production
  • Support weekend quarterly maintenance windows when production systems are taken offline to implement changes (OS/DB patching, component patches, upgrades, profile parameters, etc)
  • Provide operational support, troubleshooting, performance and memory tuning, support pack and version upgrades, add-on installations, client copies, and system refreshes, etc.
  • Interaction with SAP ECS support team and advice based on the SLA
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting issues in GTS / TM SAP Systems
  • Hands on administration experience in Saas SAP systems such as Ariba, OpenText, IBP
  • Knowledge of Job scheduling tools such as Redwood to schedule jobs and chain and other objects such as event, calendar etc.
  • Solution Manager and Cloud ALM – Setup and configure systems monitoring alerts, Charm and SLD/LMDB administration, managed system configuration, diagnostic agent troubleshooting
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for Priority 1 & 2 issues as needed
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues in a high-pressure environment
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and provide knowledge transfer sessions to the BASIS team as needed
  • Willingness to document work performed and follow established procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Multiple implementations and at least 7+ years’ experience in SAP NetWeaver and ABAP Stack Administration, including S/4HANA and Fiori
  • Experience hosting on cloud hypervisors with a managed services partner is preferred
  • At least one full implementation (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) administering and managing connectivity between on premise systems and SAP BTP
  • Demonstrated experience configuring IAS/IPS for provisioning and identity management
  • Demonstrated experience integrating of SAC public cloud with on premise systems through the SAC Agent
  • Demonstrated experience integrating S/4HANA and IBP and CPI-DS
  • Demonstrated experience in upgrading S/4HANA / MDG / SLT / Solution Manager / GTS system to minor and major release versions.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating S/4HANA and Ariba
  • Travel is expected to be less than 5%

Desired Qualifications

  • S/4 Hana and SAP BTP certifications are preferred
  • Exposure to SAP Joule & AI is a plus
  • Exposure to Solution Manager ChaRM and Focus Build and alerting configuration is a plus
