About the Role
We are looking for an SAP Configuration Specialist FTP (Forecast-to-plan) to join our Global Capability Center team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the configuration settings within an SAP system to align with specific business needs, by translating business requirements into technical configurations within relevant SAP modules, ensuring optimal system functionality and user experience across various business processes; often collaborating closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and troubleshoot issues within the SAP system. The functional area of focus for this SAP Configuration Specialist role will be for Forecast-to-Plan (FTP) processes.
Responsibilities
- Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Collaborating with business users to understand their Forecast-to-Plan (FTP) needs and translate them into functional specifications for SAP configuration.
- SAP PPDS/ePPDS & IBP Configuration: Configuring SAP modules related to FTP processes based on business requirements.
- Functional & Technical Collaboration: Work with ABAP, integration, and technical teams on functional specifications for interfaces, reports, enhancements, forms, workflows, and integrations with SAP and non-SAP applications.
- Testing & Deployment Support: Prepare test scenarios and execute unit, integration, regression, and UAT testing. Support defect resolution, deployment activities, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Production Support & Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve functional issues across PPDS/ePPDS & IBP processes, perform root-cause analysis, and provide timely support.
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Maintain functional and configuration documentation, process flows, test scripts, and user guides, and provide knowledge transfer and training to business users and support teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of experience working on SAP Supply Chain Planning solutions in implementation, rollout, enhancement, or production support environments.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Production Planning (PP), SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), and/or Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS or ePP/DS).
- Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations or transformation projects, preferably within manufacturing or supply chain environments.
- Practical knowledge of demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, production planning, and scheduling processes.
- Experience gathering business requirements, analyzing supply chain processes, preparing functional specifications, and supporting SAP configuration and solution testing.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, and IT to support end-to-end planning and execution processes.
- Experience supporting integration between SAP planning solutions and related SAP/non-SAP applications, including data flows, interfaces, master data, and planning processes.
- Exposure to analytics, automation, AI, or other digital capabilities used to improve supply chain planning, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Experience preparing test scenarios, executing unit/integration/UAT testing, resolving defects, supporting deployments, and providing post-go-live support.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with business users and technical teams.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with SAP Planning solutions, preferably in a global or multi-site environment.
- Exposure to SAP modules such as PP, MM, EWM etc.,
- Experience working in an international multi-cultural environment considered a plus
