About the Role

We are looking for an SAP Finance Lead (RTR) to join our Gore Medical Centre of Excellence team in Bengaluru, India. This position will be located at our office in Bengaluru with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.  In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the configuration settings within an SAP system to align with specific business needs, by translating business requirements into technical configurations within relevant SAP modules, ensuring optimal system functionality and user experience across various business processes; often collaborating closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and troubleshoot issues within the SAP system.  The functional area of focus for this particular SAP Finance Lead role will be for Record-to-Report (RTR) processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support, maintenance, continuous improvement services as part of an SAP GM CoE team, addressing issues, performing system updates, implementing changes, and ensuring system stability.
  • Propose and deliver the best-fit solutions for Gore as per industry best practices, with strong partnership with others in the team/IT (e.g., Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Functional Experts and Analysts, as well as Businesses).
  • Design, configure, and implement the SAP S/4 HANA Finance module (GL, AP, AR, AA,  and Banking) using the SAP Activate methodology.
  • Conduct system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to validate the functionality and performance of the solution.
  • Stay updated with the latest SAP releases, enhancements, and best practices to continuously improve SAP solutions and provide recommendations to clients.
  • Leverage hands-on configuration knowledge to upskill others and teach standard, out of the box functionality to other team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 12 years working experience as an SAP S/4 HANA functional expert or consultant specialized in FI/CO.
  • Strong understanding of integrated business processes around Finance (e.g., FI-SD and FI-MM).
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of SAP Activate methodology and its application in implementing SAP solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in systems and processes.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deliverables and analyze complex business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and system configurations.
  • Proven experience in large scale, complex SAP S/4 HANA implementations with focusing on sustainment (multi region, multi-industry).
  • Past experience implementing SAP solutions in EMEA, APAC and North America.
  • Effectively work virtually across multiple time zones and cultures.
  • Travel ~10%.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of US GAAP and Group Reporting.
  • SAP or other certification in relevant modules, such as SAP S/4 HANA FI or CO are highly desirable.
